How to Use the MILO™ App

The MILO™ Motion Frame™ was built around a simple idea: realistic motion shouldn’t make your duck spread more complicated.

The MILO™ app gives you another way to set up and control your MILO™ Motion Frames™, whether you're configuring multiple frames, running different motion profiles throughout your spread, or just trying to get your decoys moving after realizing you left the remote at home.

Below, we’ll walk through some of the useful ways to take advantage of the MILO app in the field.

Getting Started With the MILO App

Getting your MILO™ system connected starts in the Devices section of the app.

In this example, we're connecting two MILO™ Motion Frames™ and one MILO™ Remote. We like to start by pairing the remote, but you can also add your frames individually.

Make sure your MILO™ Frames and Remote are powered on before you begin pairing.

Once inside the Devices menu:

Select the MILO™ Remote and connect it to the app.
Give the remote a name if you'd like.
Add your first MILO™ Motion Frame™.
Add your second frame.
Reconnect to the MILO™ Remote.
Select Link a New Frame to associate your Motion Frames with the Remote.

Once the frames are linked, head back to the home screen. You should see the remote along with each connected MILO™ Frame.

From there, your system is ready to go. Pressing Play on the physical MILO™ Remote will start the connected frames, and their running status will also be displayed inside the app.

It's a simple way to get your entire motion decoy spread organized before the hunt starts.

Run Different Motion Profiles on Different MILO™ Frames

One of the most useful features of the MILO™ app is the ability to run individual Motion Frames on different motion profiles.

Instead of every decoy in your spread making the exact same movement, you can select a different profile for each MILO™ Frame.

For example, you could set:

MILO™ Frame 1: Green 3
MILO™ Frame 2: Blue 3

Once those profiles are selected, both frames can operate simultaneously using their assigned motion.

You can then control the system using either your phone or the MILO™ Remote.

This gives you considerably more flexibility when building a larger duck decoy spread. Rather than creating one repeated movement across every decoy, different MILO™ Frames can provide different types of motion throughout the spread.

Experiment with the available profiles and find the combination that works best for your setup, conditions, and the way you want your decoys to move.

Forgot Your MILO Remote? Use Your Phone

It happens.

You make it all the way to the blind, start setting the spread, and realize the MILO™ Remote is back at the truck—or back at home.

If you have your phone, you can still get your MILO™ Motion Frames™ running.

Open the MILO™ Motion app and connect directly to each individual frame through the Devices menu.

After connecting to the first frame:

Return to the home screen.
Select the motion profile you want.
Press Play to start the frame.
Return to Devices.
Connect to your next MILO Frame.
Choose its motion profile and start it.

Repeat the process for each frame in your spread.

Because you're connecting to the frames individually rather than controlling them together through the MILO™ Remote, the process takes a few extra steps—but you can still get all of your motion decoys up and running.

That makes the app a useful backup when things don't go exactly according to plan.

More Ways to Control Your Duck Decoy Spread

The MILO Motion app isn't intended to make your setup more complicated. It's there to give you more options.

Use it to quickly configure your system, connect frames to your remote, assign different motion profiles throughout your spread, or control individual frames directly when needed.

Whether you prefer using the physical MILO Remote once you're in the blind or controlling your setup from your phone, the goal is the same:

Spend less time messing with equipment and more time hunting.
